The British Horse
Loggers Charitable Trust is seeking to recruit apprentices for
a funded three year horse logging apprenticeship.
Applications are invited now. There is no formal intake date.
We hope to appoint two new apprentices each year subject to funding
and available sponsors.

Objects
The objects of the Charity are:
"to promote and maintain the standards of the craft of Horse
Logging for the public benefit;
to advance education and training in the craft of Horse Logging and associated
skills"

The apprenticeship scheme
will allow for different levels of skill and experience at entry and
the content of the apprenticeship will be individually agreed, based
upon a learning needs assessment.
Preference will be given to
those who can demonstrate prior knowledge and experience.
The scheme has been accredited to Level III by Ascentis. It may include elements of college based courses, short courses, business and
book keeping skills and statutory training. It will concentrate on hands on
learning through placements with professional contractors.
A successful apprentice may be accepted onto the British Horse Logger’s
Professional Register upon successful completion of the scheme. |
