Dan Sumner; news and information

Dan is the fourth apprentice appointed and is already established as a woodland manager and forester

He started in February 2012, is placed with George Read based in the Lake District and working locally to home. Dan is very fortunate to have been encouraged to apply by George, probably the longest established professional horse logger still working, and even more fortunate to have George as his placement provider.

Because of his previous experience and his well established business, Dan is unusually being 'fast tracked' through the scheme, concentrating on building his horse skills to add to his existing forestry and woodland management skills.
